Tissue Engineering of the Respiratory Epithelium: Insights in Culture Methods and Applications

Upcoming webinar on 2nd of December 2020 about airway tissue engineering and cell culture.

In vitro culture of primary respiratory epithelial cells has constantly gained influence in disease modeling and is moreover basis for functional tissue engineering of the airways.

This webinar addresses both interested beginners as well as advanced scientists in the field and focuses on key issues like cell sources, air liquid interface (ALI) culture, medium demands and current challenges regarding reproducibility and standardization. Furthermore, commonly used evaluation methods to access the mucociliary differentiation status are presented.

Finally, the webinar will provide insights into airway tissue engineering applications of in vitro differentiated respiratory epithelial cells.

When: Wednesday 2 Dec 2020 – 14:00
Duration: 25-30 minutes
Presented by: Ms Anja Lüngen, M.Sc., PhD candidate (Department of Biohybrid & Medical Textiles (BioTex) – RWTH Aachen University)
