Human Pulmonary Artery Endothelial Cells (HPAEC)
HPAEC are isolated from human pulmonary arteries (the main pulmonary artery, left and right branches). Since the pulmonary arteries carry blood from the heart to the lungs, they are the only arteries (other than umbilical arteries) that carry deoxygenated blood.
